The Devil’s Candy is the story of Jesse Hellman, who is a pot-smoking, headbanging, painter. For Jess, wife Astrid, and daughter Zooey, the city life is starting to get to them. When they find a house with a perfect detached building for Jesse to make his art, they jump on the opportunity to move to the countryside. They move in, Zooey prepares to go to a new school, and everything seems to be going well with their new lives.
