I recently watched the new Avengers movie in the local theater and I give it a five out of ten. Though the graphics were pretty cool, there was something off about the villain in the film. What happened to Loki being mischievous as he was in Thor? In this movie he was way too in your face with being bad and what’s with this crazy idea about real freedom is not being free? Loki wouldn’t care about any of these things. Though I think Tom Hiddleston is a good Loki—that freakish smile of his is so Loki—the script followed the superhero theme too closely. Just because you have a beefy Thor running around with his muscles showing and Scarlet pouting her lips doesn’t mean that you can just reinvent Loki as a power hungry guy that wears a horned helmet and has an I-should-be-king attitude.
