Don’t Allow The Lucid Moment To Dissolve

After having read Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich’s lyric essay “Cello,” I looked up the poet Adam Jagajewski, who is mentioned in the work several times. I came across his poem “Don’t Allow The Lucid Moment To Dissolve” and was inspired by what it urged me, and all writers for that matter, to do—

“Don’t allow the lucid moment to dissolve
On a hard dry substance
you have to engrave the truth”
